Where did everyone Go

Hi

I am back to this group after living without usenet for quite a while.

My ISP (Comcast) dropped all newsgroups a while back.

Anyway, Is there some secret forums out their in non usenet land that people
are visiting.

Microsoft dropped these forums/newsgroups some years ago, and referred
people to their other set of forums, whereof one example is
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/transactsql/threads
Until very recently there was an NNTP bridge, so that you could follow
these forums by NNTP, but it was discontinued just a few weeks ago.
At the same time they also remodelled their web forums, and I have not
seen very many how are satisfied with the outcome.

Other placs to ask SQL questions is www.sqlservercentral.com and
www.stackoverflow.com/www.stackexhange.com.

This newsgroup continues to exist, but the traffic is very small these
days.
