delete data backup file

I would like to delete database backup file.
I do not have rights to access the file using Windows Explorer.
I just winder any system stored procedure or SSMS user interface can
delete backup file.

The stored procedure xp_delete_file is undocumented, but it's what
maintenance plans use to delete old backups.
